This is a quick satisfying read with more layers then it's length would lead you to believe. 

I liked the narration as much as the story itself. Both voices were different, and I felt uplifted by the way the plot unfolded, and that is due in part, to the narrator, Robert M. Clark. Of course, it most certainly is mostly due to the inimitable style and romantic imagination of Cardeno C. But the two together make a great story better. If you like shifter stories, consider this one. It’s just a few hours long but packed a lot of pleasure into my day so I’m happy to recommend it.

Loved the complicated leads and the organic romance which unfolded in unexpected ways for me. ... At novel's beginning I thought I knew Ash, aka Asshole ... But oh does his character grow! ... Ash is a unique romance hero in that his past isn't used to explain away his boorish behavior, instead Daniel accepts Ash and helps him see how much better a person he can be by loving Daniel. ... Daniel is just as stellar a character as Ash but in a totally different way. ... The romance between Daniel and Ash was absolutely captivating. Daniel is like an immovable wall of love that Ash runs up against and can't quite figure out. Ash is so used to having all the control that he can't imagine how calm, free-spirited and clumsy Daniel makes him not care about power and control. This dynamic steeps the novel in emotional and erotic intensity ... This novel could easily have been just Ash getting what he needed from a relationship but Daniel gets the anchor and home he's always craved. How the reconciliation happens perfectly shows Ash's character growth as well as how much Daniel needs Ash. ... This romance is like expensive chocolate with complexity and flavor without being too sweet. ... Something in the Way He Needs is my favorite Cardeno C. novel and will be on my re-read and favorite book shelves.

The sexy times were smoking hot and tinged with a lot of pent-up emotions from both MCs, and this is what CC does best. Super cute, fluffy and sweet romance.

I absolutely loved it! ...Reg is an amazing character and I just loved the whole package. He was so clued in to Jeremy it was gorgeous to see revealed, in one fabulous chapter after another, the love developing between these two gloriously divine men. It was one of those books you just could not put down and everything stopped so you could continue to be lost in the beautiful romance evolving. The vulnerability of Jeremy just took my breath away... When he was hesitant in asking for a hug my heart just melted and immediately Reg stepped in and just gave whatever Jeremy needed. He was wonderful for nurturing what Jeremy needed and his protector. Oh I so loved this book and these men! When Jeremy finally opens up and accepts who he is and the relationship stepped up to another level I was rubbing my hands with glee. Oh and the sexy times that then took place – oh my GEE! A brilliant sweet and sexy read that has left me with a serious book hangover and a ‘you must read this book' recommendation. Five stars plus.
