For me, the characters-especially the main characters-are the driving factor in determining if I like a story or not. That's one of the reasons I keep coming back to Cardeno C.'s books...I know I'm going to get wonderful characters who are complex and deep, and with distinct personalities. I'm also going to get characters that are easy to relate to, and that is clearly illustrated here in Not A Game.
I will admit I never thought I could love this book more. But I do. If you are a true die hard romantic, you really need to pick up this book.
There is no insta love or mate bound which makes this shifter book very different from anything I have read in the past, making it a refreshing read.
Overall an impressive first book in a new series. I am looking forward to reading book 2 in the future. I would highly recommend the book to those who love a good shifter story
The fact that we get to see them grow up together; it was just precious and enthralling and like an inner tube ride down a long and winding river on a warm day with a great breeze. You just know this is a once in a lifetime journey you are never going to forget. ... Some authors I just connect with immediately and this is one of those authors. Wake Me Up Inside is about the "who" not the what or the why or the how. A wonderful story that should be savored like the best chocolate. There is no better place to lose yourself for a few hours than in this author's fine words!
Well written, fun, kick ass action and smokin' hot sex! This one is definitely going on my keeper shelf.
