What I loved most about this story was its simplicity. Right to the point, no angst, no miscommunication. Just two people finding love and companionship for all the right reasons.

This was a sweet short read that will have you smiling at the romance that builds between these two. I loved Jared and his strong presents. Lucas was a surprise too, his character turned into more than just a spoiled rich guy. I am looking forward to reading more from CC.

This story is stunning in a way that all Cardeno C's stories are. ... I loved the non-linear way this novella was written. It was new and interesting and really the perfect way to tell Shiloh's story. It is beautifully and concisely written, but the characters are complex and fully developed. I didn't feel like I missed out on anything the way I have in the past with some novellas. The story itself reminded me a little bit of It's A Wonderful Life, one of my favorite Christmas movies. Although there were elements of the story that could have made it a little gloomy, the mood instead was endearing and warm. There was the perfect balance of realism and fantasy. I loved these characters, especially the way that they seemed to be confident and vulnerable at the same time. This was a beautiful story of second chances and the power of love. Highly recommended.

What can I say? I loved it. ... A story of fate, faith in the unknown and letting go of demons past, In Another Life is everything I have come to expect from a Cardeno C story. The characters were adorable, interesting and relatable. The emotions each one portrayed jumped off the page to impart the most impact in the reader and the chemistry was sizzling hot. I enjoyed each interaction, each funny moment and all of the emotional ones. The yearning, the trust and the love that the story invoked in me were the sentiments that make this such a heart-warming and touching holiday read for me. But most of all, what made this story so perfect, was the sense of rightness that the story drew from me.

Beans: This novella is spectacular. Shiloh is a beautiful combination of shy and quirky. He struggles to find his way but Travis's calm demeanor and strength are a balm to Shiloh. They are both incredible men and there is passion, humor, love, and and a faith in something amazing. ... Brilliantly written and executed, this is my favorite of Cardeno C's novellas.Nina:  I've read this a couple times now. It keeps getting better. There were so many beautiful, touching moments. I laughed, cried and smiled throughout. ... I loved the messages that are clear and resonant throughout. The sweet, tender and sensitive handling of serious and painful issues. A story of hope, second chances, new beginnings, faith, family, trust and love, so much love. A lot of that love will be yours. This is a holiday story that you will read again every year. I know I will.
