Rough Edges is a tasty, romantic snack. 

I liked the narration as much as the story itself. Both voices were different, and I felt uplifted by the way the plot unfolded, and that is due in part, to the narrator, Robert M. Clark. Of course, it most certainly is mostly due to the inimitable style and romantic imagination of Cardeno C. But the two together make a great story better. If you like shifter stories, consider this one. It’s just a few hours long but packed a lot of pleasure into my day so I’m happy to recommend it.

a really enjoyably sweet yet hot romance between ... endearing characters. ... What I loved about Cardeno's version of this type of fantasy romance ... was that for a good part of the story we just see these two guys actually getting to know each other as friends. No instant lust or love with these two. That slowly filters into the plot as the book rolls along...The yummy sexual tension is still there, but its paced out brilliantly across the book, getting stronger and more steamily sexy as the initial easy friendship between the MC's starts to turn into something deeper and more realistic as they spend their time together. The banter and conversation between JJ and Reg showed the depth of their chemistry together at each stage of the relationship. ....When that time arrives in the book, the heat level rockets and those love scenes that you've waited patiently for will definitely get you all hot and bothered and wanting to cool off in a cold shower!...There's some conflict and a touch of angst thrown in here and there but ultimately this is just a really endearing love story that makes you feel good and gives you the warm and fuzzies.

Only Cardeno C. can have my eyes welling up with tears at the prologue. The freaking prologue! What would my choices have been if I'd gotten the opportunity to see my future flash before my eyes? ... Hands down I think Shiloh and Travis have some of the best chemistry I've ever seen. And not just sexual chemistry. They banter back and forth, the teasing and verbal wit is wonderful. Of course, their sexual chemistry is off the charts, too. ... I just know that I completely fell in love with both these characters and their story. Thank you, Cardeno, for giving me another beautiful story to read and cherish.

I liked the story, liked the main characters....I found myself smiling or chuckling while reading. There was no major drama – thank God, the story wasn't drawn out and the end was nothing less than I expected...I completely fell in love with Reggie Moore. He is such a calm, sweet, & funny character...how could you not fall in love?? ...This is such a sweet HEA and I think I needed that ending to get out of my dark cloud. So thank you CC for letting me read such a sweet and funny story!! ...The way their relationship progresses is so sweet. Reg is so strong and patient with Jeremy. Jeremy is in aww of his life after Reg comes into it. It's like he was living in black & white, and now everything is in color. I loved experiencing everything new with Jeremy. It was a very big turn on.
