If you like stories about men who try to redefine their places in life when they meet, if you enjoy a nice twist or two, and if you're looking for a read with characters who are as passionate as they are loving, then you will probably like this book.

Cardeno C offered me a taste of something different and I have to say I like it. I was impressed with both of the main characters and their connection was very strong. Ethan being the runt of the pack is thoroughly enchanting in all his innocence and witty charm. Miguel is the vicious vampire with a heart that beats strongly for Ethan. Their relationship is what kept the story fresh and exciting. ... Cardeno C does it right once again.

I absolutely ADORED these guys. ...They're a very cute couple... I really loved the fact that this was such a slow burn romance. At first, they're just friends. ...This story had a really nice, slow pace to it that fit the characters and their relationship well. It wasn't about sex for them but instead about love. It was so sweet!...I adored the characters and their slow development from friends to lovers. By the end of the story, I felt like I knew them. This is a sweet, slow-burn romance that is just that… a romance. It was light and funny in some places and just heavy enough in others but most of all, it was engaging and had a nice flow to it. I already feel the urge to re-read it!!

I have read every book in this series and let me just say Cardeno C. did not disappoint on this one. This author truly has a way with her words that not only excite you but also leave you feeling really good. There isn't a whole lot of drama or angst in any of these books in this series but one thing you can certainly count on is that there is plenty of steamy scenes to wet anyone's appetite. ...The respect and desire these men have for one another really was captivating. I loved experiencing their day to day struggles and having a bird's eye view watching them overcome their fears and issues. Jason is a very complicated man, he's was married before and has two children. So being able to see how he struggles with his responsibilities and becoming comfortable with being who he really is was very endearing to watch. He comes across as an arrogant man, he's controlling and he has a bit of a temper but I think that truly enhanced his appeal. He is not a man of many words but you could really feel how much he opened up to Abe in ways he never thought was possible. Abe is nothing but amazing. He's supportive, patient and willing to do anything to keep Jason happy and grounded. This book gave me everything I was hungry for and didn't even realize I was craving! Make sure you have a strong sweet tooth before diving in. Emilio, oh my, Emilio. He's sex on legs – big, but gentle, tough but caring, young with an old soul, protective and irresistible all rolled into one wickedly hot package. ... Spencer. He's smart, shy, vulnerable, kind of messed up, completely bewildered as to why a young and sexy hunk would be interested in him, and thoroughly overwhelmed with Emilio's confidence and direct approach. ... I loved and adored these guys together. Their passion was enough to set off a raging forest fire. The age gap worked really well, especially having a super confident younger man going after the uncertain older man who carried some baggage. ... There's virtually no angst in this story and I ended up loving it that way. The relationship begins immediately and just grows stronger with each successive page. Whenever I'm craving a really good dessert, I'll be reaching for this story again. Definitely one of my favorites by this author and a keeper on my favorites shelf!!
