With the worn-to-hell baseball cap pulled low over his face, Jeremy Jameson walked into the bar. At least he assumed it was a bar, based on the lopsided sign out front that simply said "Bar" in peeling red paint and the stench of beer and cigarette smoke that permeated the air. The interior space wasn't any cleaner or hipper than the parking lot.
Jeremy tried to remember the last time he had been in a club or bar or restaurant that wasn't sleek with carefully positioned lighting and well-maintained fixtures. Never. The answer to that question was never. Even musicians who started on the bottom and worked their way up probably wouldn't have come to a dive like this; it was too small, too out of the way, and it didn't have a stage or any room to set up equipment.

Beans: I really loved this book. ...mostly it was about two men finding each other. ...Just two men who became wonderful friends, lovers, and then partners. This is so wonderfully written and the narration was spot on. I am kicking myself for waiting this long to get this book, but I am glad I was able to listen to it. I highly recommend this book, it is classic Cardeno, a beautiful love story low on the angst. I know this is one I will listen to often.
Perfect Imperfections is another winner for Cardeno C. This story is a perfect blend of romance, angst, hot sex and sweet loving! I've recommended this book to all my friends ever since I finished reading it I loved it that much!
It has been a long time since a book grabbed me like this simply based on the connection and dialogue .. Reg and Jeremy who Reg eventually calls JJ build a wonderful friendship, the author created some wonderful dialogue, adorable banter and exchanges between these two that often had me grinning from ear to ear. Reg and JJ form a true bond, they come to rely on each other before they even become intimate. As these two gradually step into each others personal space, the reader can feel the attraction they share ...And when they do connect it was electric and it brought the emotions into the sex ... Reg and Jeremy truly fit into each other lives; they learned to live in each others space. This was book about two men, two adults finding a happy they never dreamed of with each other. In the end, the happy created for Reg and JJ warmed my soul.
