Home Again is a very well-written love story between two amazing heroes that live and breathe off of the written page.
Zev and Jonah are two very amazing, easy to love men, and I loved the fact they were best friends turned to lovers. Watching Zev give up everything, including his health, so that Jonah could live his dream was a bit painful. The dragged-out love affair slash mating made it all the sweeter when Zev and Jonah finally committed.
Wonderful heartfelt story ... Once I started I couldn't stop. It never fails to amaze me how much depth, feeling and emotion Cardeno C. packs into a story. The characters are always likeable and easy to connect with, the stories flow and while there are issues to muddle through, they aren't filled with an overwhelming amount of angst. ...I loved the deep meaningful conversations smattered throughout the book... Cardeno C. doesn't just tell you what the characters are feeling, you experience it along with them...Lots of love here in many forms, and when you turn the last page you feel good and want to go back and start all over again.
I liked the careful tenderness between the men that turns into intense passion.
The relationship that develops between Hugh and Johnnie was well written and I loved the way the two grew as individuals. Their new relationship has some strong consequences for the Pride as well. The changing dynamics are interesting to see and the results are a little bloody at times. Johnnie was a well-done introduction to what looks to be an interesting collection of stories.
