“His name is Salvatore Rossi. He’s a vampire. And he’s my true mate.”

By not relying on anyone except himself, Salvatore Rossi escaped a dead-end existence and reached the height of corporate success. But just when he has everything he always wanted, fate throws Salvatore a challenge he can’t solve alone and a young wolf shifter comes to his rescue.

Since childhood, Yoram Smith’s family was certain he would grow to become Alpha and save their beloved pack from its slow demise. When the time comes for a new leader, Yoram is forced to juggle his duty to care for a splintering pack with his duty to care for an absent mate, and his own strength suffers.

Being turned into a vampire didn’t alter Salvatore’s life philosophy: if you don’t rely on anyone, nobody can let you down. But when the boy who saved his life becomes a man who needs his help, the icy vampire must find his humanity.

Chapter 1

“Hi, Mister.” Hand on his forehead acting as a visor, seven-year-old Yoram Smith squinted up at the tall figure standing outside the diner. What’s your name?” Rather than responding, the man moved his head in the opposite direction. “Do you live in Kfarkattan?” Oranges and honey. The man smelled of oranges and honey. If he was from Kfarkattan, Yoram surely would have noticed his wonderful scent before now. He didn’t spend a lot of time in the human town, but every few months his uncles came to visit, and they weren’t allowed on pack lands, so he had to leave...

Open Sky Book Reviews

This for sure is a story about growth, acceptance, and of course romance. I loved the way Sal’s character turned things around in the end. I enjoyed this addition to this series and recommend all of them!

Diverse Reader

I was a wee bit concerned that this book might be too similar to Ethan and Miguel's story, but there was no reason for me to worry. Yorry and Sal are a force unto themselves and the Fates certainly knew what they were doing pairing them together....

Rainbow Book Reviews

This is the fourth, and probably last book, in the Mates series, which I loved. LOVED. ...This being a book by Cardeno C., there are also some super hot sexy times (when they then finally happen, OMG), and knotting. ...There is always such...
