Time passes and life moves on, but when Charlie learns the only two men he’s ever loved are now in love with each other, his heart breaks all over again. Scott and Adan tell Charlie they want him back, but Charlie doesn’t know if he can trust two people who have hurt him so deeply. Time might not heal all wounds, but with two motivated and strong-willed men on a campaign to win him back, Charlie will get more than he ever thought possible.

Charlie “Chase” Rhodes
It’s funny how when you’re a kid you think you have it all figured out. You think you know who you’re going to be when you grow up, what you’re going to do. And yet, you can’t actually see yourself as a grown-up. I mean, grown-ups are old. And they’re constantly saying shit we think we’ll never say and doing shit we think we’ll never do.
When I think back to how many times I said I’d never do this and I’d never say that, I want to cringe. Because you know what? I do all of it now.
Just this morning, when I was getting the kids off to school and they were fighting with each other over who got to hold a spatula—yeah, I know—I told them to stop talking to each other. No, really, I did. This was me: “Bobby, Stephi! You…
So this week is comfort week, where we each picked a book that to us says COMFORT... Now I know what you are thinking “that is not a book but an author”, yes I know this but let me tell you something. When I want comfort ANYTHING by Cardeno is a comfort read.
I absolutely adored this story. I was completely and totally entranced from page one. I loved Charlie’s perspective and his snarky asides. I’m a real sucker for that kind of character, and Cardeno writes them perfectly.
This is a book in the Family Series. These books can absolutely be read stand alone as the timelines overlap for many so reading stand alone does not affect the readers experience. I loved Charlie, Scott and Adan's story. ....From the moment I opened the book, Charlie's voice pulled me right in as he takes the reader on a journey as he scrapbooks his life....The author manages to allow us to hear from Adan and Scott all while still hearing pieces in Charlie's voice; these three POV's were masterfully woven together to create a tapestry of happy perfect for this trio. The happy developed slowly and I adored how Adan and Scott wanted to care for Charlie; sex was not the priority. That made it even hotter when the sex did some and oh yes it is hot! I count on CC for amazing dialogue; something this author yet again delivers in spades...The author manages to give each man his own voice; each felt true to the character created and compelled me to want to read more.
More Than Everything is my first read by Cardeno C., but it will definitely not be my last. I loved Charlie, Scott, and Adan's story. Even though this is primarily Charlie/Chase's story to tell, getting Scott and Adan's perspectives allowed for all sides of their relationships/experience to be explored, and it also allows readers to see the growth that occurs for all three of them when they reunite many years later...More Than Everything is a story that spans over twenty years, and in that time, readers get a insiders' view of all that Charlie has experienced and endured. Cardeno C. is a fantastic storyteller because the three perspectives are seamlessly woven together to ensure readers understand how all events have shaped the characters. With great character development, conversational storytelling, and steamy scenes that truly illustrate the depth of feelings involved, readers are in for a great read in the Family series.
