The smexy times are off the charts hot and the feels are too.
A really good, solid entry into a new shifter series... The mythology of shifters and their mating is not the same as in CC's Mates series, but all the hallmarks of a Cardeno C book are there...Watching Mitch and Simon learn each other, seeing Simon gradually accept that Mitch is different, and that he's attracted to him is the part of the story that made me love this book. I loved seeing the playful sides to both men once they opened up to each other. ..I am never let down by a CC book, the characters always fit the story, and they are always well written. There was nothing about this story that didn't work and I liked that CC made it different from the Mates series. I honestly can't recommend Blue Mountain enough.
Wow. I'm in shock over how much I loved this story. I fell in love with Charlie, Scott, and Adan. There's nothing I can say except it's one of the best books I've ever read. Thank you, Cardeno, for putting these guys on paper and sharing them.
This is a nice book, a character and romance driven story that has no dramas or miscommunication. It is driven very much by the development of the relationship between Reg and Jeremy.... I totally bought the fact that Jeremy fell for Reg and nothing felt forced or awkward..... It was also the time taken by Cardeno C to work out their relationship – this book is over a period of a year – Jeremy's realizations, and the slow burn to them being together, that were particularly well written.
When Ethan, a true underdog (pun intended), meets Miguel (a vampire) and realizes what made him weak might actually be fixed by the one he expected to cause his demise the premise is set for a very entertaining, and engaging, story. Miguel, as the centuries-old wise vampire and Ethan, as a sort of hick country fella, sure do not seem like mates. In fact it is the differences, and the acceptance of them from each other, that bring the strength to this novel. As things progress and prejudices (internal and external) are barreled through you have the opportunity to see how love can conquer all! As with the first in the series, Cardeno C. has done a masterful job weaving a complex story filled with all sorts of characters who clearly are themselves in Until Forever Comes. You really feel these folks; they take on a life of their own and their actions and words become cemented in your heart. The emotion is not punchy but steady, a build up that keeps you invested until the very end. In a world of overdone tropes this one brought freshness, uniqueness that set it above the rest. The writing here is really the draw; smooth, flowing, and well crafted it leads you on the journey. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to handle Ethan at all with his very sort of country boy persona and language but it grew on me and it was so much a part of him.…
