So, this audiobook had me enthralled from the first word until the very last one. I was just taken in by this story and I really had a hard time putting it down in order to work. Sigh. I listened to this book while getting my nails done, grocery shopping, commuting to work as well as being at work. I listened any moment that I could.

This is a sweet and spicy novella with lovely characters, a fated romance, and a unique way of telling the story. This non-linear story features a young Shiloh who wakes from a suicide attempt but with a near-death experience that provides him great hope for his future, one with EMT Travis in it. Travis saved Shiloh and doesn't leave his side and the two form a bond. These are very likable characters that get an emotional and erotic romance with a near fated quality to it.

A story of love of life, love of fellow man and love of family - with all they bring - the easy and hard, the laughter and the tears, Strange Bedfellows is about opening yourself to the possibilities life throws at you and latching onto the opportunities that land at your feet.

I loved the characters and the symbolism throughout the book that reflects on our own 'pack lore' as humans. The book is paced just right so that as the reader you are drawn in and kept captivated until you finish the last sentence. I know that Cardeno C. will be on my list of favorite authors from now on and can emphatically say that if you are looking for a good love story, than this is it!

Nina: I loved this novella. I loved that there was just enough connection to the Home series to make this feel like a part of a greater story. I loved how snarky and funny and grumpy Rafi was. I loved how sweet and open and unswerving Isaac was. I loved the forgiveness and acceptance in this story. I loved how incredibly sexy these men were together. I loved how brave they were. ... I enjoyed the way that the men came together, the process felt real to me. Even though Rafi would never admit it, there is a reason that Isaac pushes all of his buttons - he was a part of how he got them. These guys grew up together and as Rafi relaxes and lets go of some of his anger his memories soften to allow more than just the pain and anger and resentment to flavor their shared past. The subtle turning from slaking passion, and wow! were these guys incredibly hot together, to companionship and friendship to love was a delight. This was a fantastic novella and a brilliant addition to my Cardeno C collection.
