He's a bit insecure after spending his life unable to shift, making him an outcast in his pack. However, he had the unconditional love of his family, especially his sister, allowing him to value himself and making him determined to hold unto his mate after finding him. Miguel is extremely old, powerful, and smart. ... It was absolutely adorable how jealous and protective each of these men were of the other. The epilogue was perfect, answering some questions from the first story and giving us a solid feeling of forever for Ethan and Miguel. You can't go wrong with this riveting page turner with true love, a suspenseful plot, wonderful dialogue, vampires, shifters, and steamy hot sex. I couldn't put it down, and I'm anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!

This book gave me everything I was hungry for and didn't even realize I was craving! Make sure you have a strong sweet tooth before diving in. Emilio, oh my, Emilio. He's sex on legs – big, but gentle, tough but caring, young with an old soul, protective and irresistible all rolled into one wickedly hot package. ... Spencer. He's smart, shy, vulnerable, kind of messed up, completely bewildered as to why a young and sexy hunk would be interested in him, and thoroughly overwhelmed with Emilio's confidence and direct approach. ... I loved and adored these guys together. Their passion was enough to set off a raging forest fire. The age gap worked really well, especially having a super confident younger man going after the uncertain older man who carried some baggage. ... There's virtually no angst in this story and I ended up loving it that way. The relationship begins immediately and just grows stronger with each successive page. Whenever I'm craving a really good dessert, I'll be reaching for this story again. Definitely one of my favorites by this author and a keeper on my favorites shelf!!

Cardeno did it again, another brilliant book I couldn't put down. ... For Zev, the future Alpha and leader of the pack, was never about finding a mate it was about timing to let everyone know he found his mate when he was a little over 1 year old, and that said true mate was a boy name Jonah. A lot of things had to happen before Zev can introduce Jonah as his mate. A long time spend apart from each other that only hurts them both every day. Secrets, some that are kept to protect the ones they love. Some, that they didn't even know existed. And Zev and Jonah, GOD! they are hot together!!! ... I can't wait to read book II, Cardeno got me hooked again.
