Cardeno C is an incredibly talented author who writes heart warming books that stay with you long after the last word has been read.

This is like an arranged marriage, shifter style, which means it was arranged before the kids were even conceived! The idea is to bring two packs together to make them bigger and stronger. A pact is made between the two Alphas for the first newborns from each pack to be bonded together. When they are old enough to mate hey presto! Larger, stronger, more secure pack. That was the theory anyway….packed with the normal amount of angst, love and hot men loving each other! Loved it!!

There is a real focus on differences in the story but all that made me do is see how similar Danny and Asher are and how perfect they become for each other. I love reading stories about men capable of great change or informed change where it is a conscious choice to behave in a different way. Therefore, this one was perfectly placed and timed for me to love the heck out of it. If you enjoy a great story about two men who are flawed but hopeful and willing to work toward the end goal then Something in the Way He Needs is heartily recommended by me!

So this second installment of Cardeno C's Family series is sweet and syrupy and romantic (and oh so incredibly sexy). It is a book for when you want to feel good, filled with people who are happy and mushily in love. There is conflict, but it is fairly mild and most of the book focuses on Spencer and Emilio and how much they want and love each other. And sometimes that kind of story is exactly what I want, and as a result, I really loved this book.... One of my favorite tropes in my romance are stories with age gaps. I love that sense of one partner caring for the other and exposing him to new things that comes from more life (and sexual) experience. What I really loved here is how the author turns that around. ... These guys were just so sweet together and I just loved them. I also really enjoyed Emilio's family, full of big, burly brothers and a sister. ...There is such a playfulness and banter between the siblings that brings a lot of fun into the story....Definitely recommended, especially when you want something warm, sweet, sexy, and low on the angst. P.S. This book is the second in the Family series, but as with most of the author's other series, they do not need to be read in order.

Once again the author has given us a story of love that didn't come easy but was so worth the effort.
