Their romance is like a slow burning fire on a cold night. Everything’s heating up perfectly! There’s medical issues and emotional drama that really moves the story along. This is pretty much a contemporary story about finding love in a small town. If you’re looking for super sweet and sexy, give Jesse’s Diner a read!

I LOVE this book. I've read it and listened to it dozens of times. The chemistry between Ethan and Miguel is both really hot and so tender and sweet - the perfect combination!

Wake Me Up Inside is the first book in the Mate series from Cardeno C and I can't wait for more. Cardeno C has a straightforward narrative that delivers the story in a manner that makes it easy for the reader to follow the timeline of Jonah and Zev's relationship as it grows from childhood to adult. ... Take a good long look at that marvelous cover and it gives you an accurate picture of a scene in the book. Boy and wolf pup and Jonah and Zev, always together no matter the form Zev is in. How does that idea not draw you in? It is the characterizations that make or break a story for me and in Zev and Jonah we get two characters to connect with immediately.

I adored this book....What impressed me most in this book is how much Samuel grew into himself and into his feelings, learning that book knowledge alone doesn't make a leader, and that compassion and understanding is often better than commanding and demanding. Loyalty is earned, as is respect. But Samuel also learns to open his heart, to listen to it more than his mind, and to trust in his mate....And CC has this special talent to infuse the holy hot boysecks, Batman scenes with so much emotion, so much heart, that I tend to feel like an unwelcome intruder watching them unfold. But I can't stop reading, either, because they make me choke up and sniffle as well. I've come to know to always have a box of tissues ready when reading one of CC's books. ... Fully fleshed out characters, excellent side characters (friend or foe), and an engaging, nicely flowing plot - what's not to love?

It's engaging, honest and humorous, yet emotional when befitting the situation, and holy hot boysecks, Batman. The whole relationship with its slow burn is permeated by respect and friendship for each other, and a deep, abiding connection. Seth might have taken his time, but when he figures it out, it's full steam ahead. And Eli, persistent, a little hesitant but oh so sure of what he wants - simply a joy to behold... Humor abounds during the weddings Seth officiates, and there are plenty of sweet moments between him and Eli too. ... Highly recommended. Utterly beautiful.
