I loved the banter between these two. I found myself laughing quite a few times. It's also the kind of story you've come to love about CC. That sweet, charming, gives me the "aww" feels. 

I loved how these two reacted to each other once they had tied, thinking it amusing they were spending so much time in bed! There is a real connection to the characters, and really, really recommend this book, or any by this author!

Vampire + wolf shifter = truly hawt, delicious fun. This book was so damn smexy, I may have needed a cold shower, or three. Miguel and Ethan are constantly on each other, licking, sucking, BITING. Plus, the romance factor was through the roof: knotting, mating, and blood bonding (blood, you all, so much blood). And MINE MINE MINE forever. ...Ethan and Miguel are an awesome couple. Ethan narrates this book in the first-person, and I loved his small-town, farm-boy persona. I giggled many times.

This is a nice book, a character and romance driven story that has no dramas or miscommunication. It is driven very much by the development of the relationship between Reg and Jeremy.... I totally bought the fact that Jeremy fell for Reg and nothing felt forced or awkward..... It was also the time taken by Cardeno C to work out their relationship – this book is over a period of a year – Jeremy's realizations, and the slow burn to them being together, that were particularly well written.

A Shot at Forgiveness is such a sweet tale of mistakes, forgiveness, and moving on. It's a story with a minor focus on bullying and the hurt it causes, but most of all it's a story of healing and love. It's an easy read full of promise for the characters and their future. And I love the interracial aspect. It highlights the beauty in diversity. And what I like most about this novella is that it's a chance at a new beginning for both characters. Mistakes were made. Hurts were harbored for a long time, but forgiveness is always an option. And of course, I love these characters. As always, Cardeno C has a way with characters.
