'Not a Game' is a wonderful, light, feel good read for anyone who doubts that love is the one thing that comes in all sizes and shapes because it's not the package that matters but the heart and soul that resides within.
I liked the way in which the author brought these two men together. ... Their strengths and weaknesses counter each other nicely, and I love the chemistry that exists between them. The author knows how to bring this chemistry alive and they heat up the pages of this story. ... I loved all the little twists and turns the author takes the readers on during the course of this story. Until Forever Comes definitely landed on my keeper shelf, and is one book I know I will be re-reading again in the future.
Cardeno has written such a feel-good story, and it's wonderful watching sweet, deserving Spencer finally believe he's strong enough and deserves this treasure of Emilio and his family.
A touch of tension, a dash of discord, a steady stream of sizzle and steam, and some off the charts chemistry, makes this highly entertaining and another winner for me.
This author is good at packing a lot of story in a few pages. The feelings that go through Abel when he sees Kai, and the condition he is in, is intense. He wants so badly to not care, but the pull between them is so strong. The embarrassment and self loathing that comes from Kai is heartbreaking. You will run the gamut of emotions with this read, but as always the strongest will be satisfaction!
