The Book Nympho I also loved the strong family themes that were pervasive in this story…Abe's relationship with his family, Jason's with his ex-wife and children, and the new relationships formed when they became a couple. Jason wasn't all that likable for quite a bit of the story and I loved having my opinion of him evolve as he did. It was one of the strengths of the writing. This transitions from steamy (off the charts) encounters to a relationship of substance that works on so many levels.

The Book Pushers This is a sexually and emotionally charged story ...They're drawn to each other time and again and while the sex is off the charts there's an attraction that exists beyond the physical. Reading about these two men falling in love was so enjoyable for me. On the surface they're very opposites attract but at their core the men are so similar in their desires and in what they want out of a relationship. It was just such a moving and passionate read that I know I'll go back to it again and again.

The Novel Approach Reviews As usual with Cardeno C., this book is a wonderful mix of hot smexy times, with real life issues between two men who are seeking their HEA. As hard as it was to like Jason at the beginning of the book, by the end I had a true understanding of him and realized that Jason had a journey to go on. Abe was the perfect companion on that journey. Once Jason realized this, he and Abe made an amazing couple, and I couldn't put the book down until I found out how it all ended. There is a reason Cardeno C. is an auto-buy author for me, and a book like this is just one of many. I highly recommend The Half of Us and all the others in the Family series. This can be read as a standalone, but I wouldn't miss any of the books if I were you.

The Romance Reviews A well written story with engaging characters, it focuses on the themes of forgiveness, love, acceptance and family. Steadily paced and emotionally complex, the relationship between Abe and Jase is like a flower that slowly unfurls in the warmth of the sun.
