This story is hands down one of my favorite novellas of Cardeno’s. Filled with so much love and hope it definitely doesn’t hurt that the sex is hot as hell too.

I don't think I have ever read a book by Cardeno C. that hasn't tugged at my heartstrings. Cardeno has a way of writing MCs that just pulls me in and makes me fall in love with them immediately. ... This book touched me so deeply for many different reasons.... It is so sweet to witness Emilio demonstrate the reasons he can't resist Spencer and even more wonderful to watch Spencer start to believe he is handsome. I love how Emilio helps Spencer get over a past trauma that is still causing side effects even now. One of the best parts of the story was the love and acceptance Spencer finally finds, not only from Emilio, but from his entire family. Emilio's uber-tough brothers, his loving sister and his parents all took Spencer in and adopted him into the Sanchez family. ... I love Cardeno's books and this one is no exception. Watching Spencer come out of his shell and seeing that there is more to Emilio than his great body was a fun ride, and it is one I plan on taking as many times as possible. Seriously, you will miss a wonderfully sweet romance if you miss this one!

I loved the humor with which Ethan tells his story and the change in mood from totally flippant and somewhat annoyed with life to thoughtful, appreciative and loving at the end. ... Deep feelings and good characterizations are not easy to develop in such a short story, but the author manages it really well. Ethan pulled me in from the very start; while it was the initial humor that made me smile, it was his cluelessness that kept me reading. I wanted to know if he'd get it. And at the end, when he finally admitted how he felt, the depth of his emotions was very rewarding. If you like short, sweet stories with a (temporal) twist, you will probably like this one.

This is a great shifter story that gives a new view on shifters and the world they live in. Zev and Jonah are a fantastic couple. ... I loved this story. it was perfect, going from childhood best friends to adult lovers. Zev refusing to take that final step until Jonah could be all his. A perfect sweet romance with a twist of mystery. ... Cardeno C. has written a story that keeps your interest. It has an interesting shifter element and has woven bigotry, prejudice, love, overcoming circumstances, friendships and secrets together to bring us a story that is sweet with a tinge of mystery and danger. ... I will recommend this to those who love shifters, hot loving, sacrifice, strong and enduring love, mysterious happenings, a touch of danger and a very happy ending. Grabbing a cuppa and snuggling with this book is a great way to spend an evening.

Cardeno C. has created an impressive charming romance that I vastly enjoyed.
