The more I read by Cardeno C. the bigger fan I become. Shifter books have become a favorite of mine and Blue Mountain doesn’t disappoint.

Humorous, heartfelt, sexy romance full of great characters. ... Ben is such a humorous and zany narrator that I fell a bit in love with him. ... This is a sexy and emotional romance between Ben and Micah. Ben's inexperience with gay sex is simultaneously humorous, emotive and hot. These two men make sex fun but have a relationship based on friendship that I could see as a reader. ... I love the secondary characters here as well as the unhurried plot. ... I love romances set in communities and that's what this book had. I also love the unhurried plot of this book. ... The characters were given time to develop along with the romance. The best part of this plot is the resolution that went further than most books would have in this situation as the couple becomes a family. None of this felt rushed or forced but instead just unfolded in a story of love in all its forms.

Korban Keller, who was absolutely adorable with his sweet and pleasant disposition, is next in line to be the alpha of his pack. Samuel and Korban meet at a young age and run into each other fairly often. Samuel is convinced that Korban couldn't possibly have good intentions and is always leery of everything Korban says. This made for some very interesting interactions between the two of them. ...Korban brings out the passionate side of Samuel that nobody had ever seen before. For the first time in his life, Samuel understands what it means to truly love and care about somebody. These two alphas made an amazing team, and you can easily envision their future together. I really enjoyed the action that takes place as the pack alphas fight to gain control. Although this is part of a series, each of the stories can be read on its own. However, I highly recommend each of the three stories. They are each uniquely told, and this is one of my absolute favorite paranormal series. I love the concept of one true mate, and this story delivered it beautifully

It has an interesting shifter element and has woven bigotry, prejudice, love, overcoming circumstances, friendships and secrets together to bring us a story that is sweet with a tinge of mystery and danger. ... I will recommend this to those who love shifters, hot loving, sacrifice, strong and enduring love, mysterious happenings, a touch of danger and a very happy ending. Grabbing a cuppa and snuggling with this book is a great way to spend an evening.
