If you love stories about mates falling for each other through hard times, I highly recommend To Touch You!
Cardeno C’s Mates series is probably my favorite “shifter” series of all time. I have read and listened to it over and over and over – probably one of them each month....This was a fantastic addition to the series – and can be read as a standalone- but I don’t recommend it. Reading this series in order will let you appreciate all the secondary characters and what it means when they act as they do.
An enjoying read and a guilty pleasure.
What ensues is a story of friendship, trust and acceptance...the emotions are in the forefront along with the humor. The ‘feels' in this story are subtle but heartfelt nonetheless. Jeremy and Reg's connection is instant but through honest dialogue, funny banter and flirtatious and candid interactions, Cardeno deepens it. Bringing forth numerous ‘awww' moments, laughs and sighs. I loved Jeremy and Reg's easy camaraderie. It was great to see how it jumped off the page. They were friends first, lovers later and their journey was a treat to experience.
My love for a good angsty read aside, I've found that the thing I like best about Cardeno C.'s stories is that the couples easily connect and have wonderful chemistry....This book touched me. I'm not sure if it was the sweet friendship, the sense that these two were meant for each other or the fact that their families and friends were so supportive and loving, but I was all in almost from the moment I read the first page. The wedding announcements that preface each chapter were amusing and I adored how the author used them to inject humor and set the theme throughout the book....Walk With Me is the seventh book in the Home series, but can easily be read as a stand-a-lone. I haven't read the rest of the series and I had no problem following along. If the thought of reading through the whole series to get to this one feels a bit daunting, I thinks it's safe to just skip ahead and pick this one up.
