I liked the narration as much as the story itself. Both voices were different, and I felt uplifted by the way the plot unfolded, and that is due in part, to the narrator, Robert M. Clark. Of course, it most certainly is mostly due to the inimitable style and romantic imagination of Cardeno C. But the two together make a great story better. If you like shifter stories, consider this one. It’s just a few hours long but packed a lot of pleasure into my day so I’m happy to recommend it.

This is a pretty easy story, sweet and stress free.

The book opens with Shiloh trying to take his own life with a razor blade, but this is just the beginning of the story. ... This story isn't like anything I have ever read before. Maybe it was a Hanukkah miracle, maybe it is what truly happens at a time like this. Most of us will never know, but Shiloh had the experience of a lifetime... literally. ... Like I said before, this is a very original story and there is a little Hanukkah magic and the spirit of the holiday season will creep right into your heart. This is definitely another win for Cardeno C.

Nina: I loved this novella. I loved that there was just enough connection to the Home series to make this feel like a part of a greater story. I loved how snarky and funny and grumpy Rafi was. I loved how sweet and open and unswerving Isaac was. I loved the forgiveness and acceptance in this story. I loved how incredibly sexy these men were together. I loved how brave they were. ... I enjoyed the way that the men came together, the process felt real to me. Even though Rafi would never admit it, there is a reason that Isaac pushes all of his buttons - he was a part of how he got them. These guys grew up together and as Rafi relaxes and lets go of some of his anger his memories soften to allow more than just the pain and anger and resentment to flavor their shared past. The subtle turning from slaking passion, and wow! were these guys incredibly hot together, to companionship and friendship to love was a delight. This was a fantastic novella and a brilliant addition to my Cardeno C collection.

Beans: I really loved the premise of this story and it was beautifully written. Abel is a bit of an ass and Kai is so wounded it breaks your heart. I loved Kai's sister in this and I think Abel needed to grovel for years but Kai has such a forgiving heart and just wants his mate, his friend. ...Highly recommend!Nina: I enjoyed every minute of it. This is a story of both young love and love that endures for a lifetime....These men will steal your heart and have you begging for more. ...If for some reason you haven't already read this delightful little novella, you really must immediately purchase it and immerse yourself in all of the love, sweetness, passion, drama, and beauty that Cardeno C delivers to us once again.
