I wrote this flash fic for Boy Meets Boy Reviews featuring the characters in Wake Me Up Inside. Enjoy! - CC
.
I really enjoyed this nice and very steamy shifter story. I also loved the fact that it was a shifter mating with a vampire...Damn these two were HOT for each other. Plus there is biting and knotting...These two are true mates and I loved reading about how they got together. There was also a bit of a funny element in this one, which I really appreciated. These two were pretty sweet together and I loved the shy shifter with the big bad vampire. They almost set my Ipad on fire!!!!
I enjoyed so many things about Cardeno C's book~ the emotional connection between the two main characters, the connection between reader and MC, the love between Rafi and Isaac
I've never read a Cardeno C. book I didn't like. This author has a way of really getting to the heart of soul of his characters, and making them into flawed, wonderful people I truly love to read about. For a short story, I thought Places in Time was a very well-rounded read that I thoroughly enjoyed and truly hated to see come to an end.
This was a great novella. There are many lessons, sweet and some sexy times. There is a lot to the story in such a small amount of time. I didn't think it was too short. It was perfect for a few hours.
As with all of this author's work, you are captivated from the first word to the last. ... So, this story is told over a fifteen year timeframe and is told from all three men's POV starting with Charlie's. The way CC was able to set the stage for the story to be told was brilliant for they're not simply telling it. ...This story will pull so many emotions from you; heartache, happiness, triumph, loss; you go through and feel them all with Charlie or Chase as it was. You will absolutely adore these characters, but not all of them and certainly, not right away. ... The journey Charlie takes through life is a painful one, but the roads that he travelled took him exactly where he was meant to be. ... There are so many delicious layers to his wonderful story. The characters and their storylines are blended together perfectly. This book is an engrossing and, at 234 pages, substantial read. I highly recommend this book in addition to others written by this author. This is a definite must read.
