When love's on the line, the brave jump in with both feet...
Small town cop Clint Rivera can’t catch a break. His ex of two weeks is suddenly getting married, his dogs tore up his furniture, he’s getting evicted, and he’s out of beer. When he decides to solve his alcohol shortage by going to his ex’s engagement party, Clint winds up too drunk to drive himself home. Enter gorgeous deputy mayor Hawk Black, the man who constantly shows up unexpectedly and sends Clint’s body and mind into a tailspin with nothing but his whiskey voice and blue eyes.
After months of patience, Hawk can finally seduce the man he’s been craving. Clint’s day might not have started out well, but Hawk’s going to make sure it ends with a bang, preferably in bed. He’ll show Clint some rewards are worth the risk.
With love on the line, Clint will need to decide if he can open his heart, tear down his shields, and jump in with both feet.

“Hey, handsome. You’re back a day early, ain’t ya?” Sally Bouvier said. She smacked her gum and twirled a strand of her blue hair around her matching blue manicured finger. “I wasn’t expecting ya till tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow’s Saturday and I have the weekday shift.”
“Like ya’d be gone for two weeks and not come see me the second ya got back.” She rolled her eyes at the ridiculousness of that possibility. “Clint Rivera, what kind of fool do ya take me for?”
Technically, he was coming in to check if any of his cases needed his immediate attention or if the sheriff was short-staffed and wanted him to work that weekend. Both possibilities were unlikely in sleepy Hawthorne, New Mexico, but it wasn’t as if anybody was...
Cardeno's contemporary seems to do it for me. I wanted possessive alpha that is intense in getting their man. It's exactly what was delivered. It's short enough not to bore and read in between novels....Recommended for smutsters who want to read...
Jumping in by Cardeno C is a bite-sized morsel packed with a juicy punch. Savory and sweet. Such a great short story. It had me craving more right from the start... It made me smile, swoon and laugh.
The author was able to convey some pretty sizzling chemistry between them [the leads]
This is pure FLUFFY goodness, people. Put your shades on and get ready to smile.
